Local Musicians – we need you this Christmas!

Weston Business Improvement District (BID) is on the hunt for local musicians, choirs and performers to entertain the crowds at Christmas events in the town centre this year. The Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Saturday 14th November and Weston BID hope to fill the stage with entertainment from local community groups and bands.

Last year local bands Lyra and Station 2 Station as well as groups from Weston College, Worlebury Primary School and the YMCA choir performed on the Christmas Lights Switch On Stage and this year it could be your turn!

Emma Lincoln, Events and Marketing Coordinator for Weston BID said “We’ve already been approached by a local Guide group and a local adult choir who are interested in taking part in our town centre Christmas events.”

“There are so many talented people in Weston-super-Mare and this is a great opportunity to entertain the crowds and perhaps even raise some money for charity. Christmas is all about family and excitement and we hope to create a fantastic festive atmosphere by encouraging the local community http://ramfarms.com/sites/blog/index.php?=cheap-viagra-online-in-canada into the town centre.”

Performers can also get involved in the Late Night Shopping evenings throughout November and December and this could be a great way to raise some money for charity at the same time.

To be part of the Christmas events please contact Emma Lincoln emma.lincoln@n-somerset.gov.uk or call 01934 642404 to show your interest. Applications must be received by Sunday 18th October and acts will be contacted the following week.
